Mathieu KARSENTI – composer


Earlier in 2017 Mathieu was awarded a JBA award from the CTBF (Cinema and TV Benevolent Fund). The John Brabourne Award provides financial assistance to Film and TV professionals that need it.   He is also is a BAFTA CREW 2016 and 2017 recipient.

90 Grad Nord, a short with music by Mathieu, was accepted for Cannes 2015 Short Film Corner, the 2015 International Short Film Festival in Hamburg and the Palm Springs Film Festival.

With over 20 years’ experience of making music, London-based Mathieu has honed his skills successfully on an extensive range of prime-time TV entertainment, Children’s, Comedy as well as independent film projects.He has studied music production at Pointblank college, Composing for Film and TV at Berklee College of Music online and at the Hollywood Music Orchestration Workshop with orchestrator Conrad Pope in Vienna, Austria.

His eclectic and unconventional approach has allowed him to treat each brief with an open mind and with a design and applied arts education background, Mathieu brings a unique and original voice when it comes to creating music, often ‘painting’ a palette of new arrangements that illustrates and complements the picture in a distinctive way.
