Adriel Leff is a multi-international award winning writer/director from North West London. His screenwriting debut was optioned by producer Allan McKeown, the first time Allan had ever optioned an unsolicited script. He has written and directed 3 self-funded features – Bloody Lips which won Best Feature Ensemble at the 2013 LA Comedy Festival, Best Feature Film at the Interurban Film Festival in Texas and a further ten award nominations in 15 international festival appearances; The Ballad of Johnny Windows won Best Mockumentary Feature at the 2014 LA Comedy Festival and, along with Bloody Lip and his third film Breaking Britain, have now secured US distribution.
His competition-winning screenplay Inner Bull is currently in development, alongside several other projects including heist-thriller Keep it Locked with director Jesse Quinones and producer Katie Crook attached, and a documentary with BAFTA winners RawTV. He has had two feature screenplays optioned by producer Lucinda Van Rie and contributed a rewrite to award-winning feature The Habit Of Beauty starring Noel Clarke and Nick Moran.
In addition to his writing and directing he maintains a successful career as a DJ/remixer/producer, a passion he has actively pursued since his teens and one that has also enabled him to contribute original musical compositions to his various projects.
Self-taught in the visual arts, Adriel has undertaken numerous diverse roles, from producing to editing to broadcast operations, providing him with an enviably broad understanding of the creative and technical process, knowledge that all proves invaluable to his favoured discipline of screenwriting
