VERY PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT SMA SCREENWRITER RACHEL WALSH-WILLIAMS’ FIRST FEATURE, TOKYO GHOST, ABOUT A LONDON-BASED FEMALE INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER, HAS BEEN OPTIONED BY US TROY ENTERTAINMENT
Very proud to announce that SMA Screenwriter Rachel Walsh-Williams’ first feature, Tokyo Ghost, about a London-based female investigative reporter, has been optioned by US Troy Entertainment and will be directed and produced by Andrew Troy.
He recently directed Midnight In The Orange Grove and is in pre-production on the historical drama Standing Bear. They first met at the Cannes World Film Festival where Tokyo Ghost won Best Thriller Script and they have stayed in contact since.
Andrew says “Rachel’s grounding in Japanese studies lends Tokyo Ghost a distinctive voice, told through the perspective of an investigative reporter with a contemporary noir sensibility. It’s an approach that resonates strongly with the subjects I explore in my own work, and her gift as a writer is evident from the outset.”
